Zanab is a specialist in Special Needs Dentistry (SND), having worked extensively in the SND specialist departments at both Westmead Centre for Oral Health and Sydney Dental Hospital. Zanab currently works in private specialist dental practice with Sydney Specialist Dental Group in St Peters, Sydney, and in public at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital and Gosford Hospital, managing patients with special healthcare needs including medically complex patients. She is also an Affiliate Academic in a conjoint role with the University of Newcastle.

Zanab is a strong advocate for people with special healthcare needs and thoroughly enjoys teaching and sharing her expertise. In addition to being a Fellow with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS); she is the current RACDS NSW/ACT Candidate Advisor and an active member of the Australia and New Zealand Academy of Special Needs Dentistry, Australian Society of Special Care in Dentistry, Australian Dental Association and International Association of Disability and Oral Health.
