Dr Andrew Kim

Dr Andrew Kim is a consultant gastroenterologist at St Vincent’s Hospital and the surrounding St Vincent’s Health campus (including St Vincent’s Private Hospital and St Vincent’s Clinic).

Dr Kim undertook his physician and advanced gastroenterology training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and completed a fellowship in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney and at the prestigious John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. While in Oxford, he was selected as a member of the International IBD Working Group who led the development of the world’s first Standard Set of Outcome Measures for IBD in 2016 to help set the benchmark for quality of care in IBD.

Dr Kim provides consultation services in all aspects of general gastroenterology and hepatology as well as diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy services, with admitting rights to both St Vincent’s Public and Private Hospitals. As a staff specialist, he is actively involved in running a dedicated IBD service and several clinical trials at St Vincent’s Hospital including his own research focusing on the use of decision support tools for patients with ulcerative colitis. He has consulting rooms in Double Bay and Alexandria where he offers private endoscopy services and access to infusion-based treatments. He also regularly visits Wagga Wagga and offers telehealth services for patients located in regional NSW. In addition to English, he is also fluent in Korean.
